No one cried “uglification” and “masculinization of women” or “girl bosses” back in the day when characters like these were in different mediums🚀 Whether they were main or side characters, heroes or villains, people didn’t overanalyze and let their fantasizes make them look for or make up imaginary reasons preemptively hate things. I’ve lived in a time when we didn’t read reviews or looked up artists’ profiles to know their political affiliations or what they said about whom 10 years prior or so. We played games and watched movies and we made whatever we got out of them and we either loved them and replayed them or we moved on to something new. I totally cannot relate to the mentality of wanting to be a crusader fighting for a made up fight over non-existent oppression🎤

THEORY: What if Sekhmet is in the afterlife of the gods “Everywhen” because Kratos will have beaten her in our future, in a Kratos game set in Egypt?🚀 The afterlife from LAUFEY is called “Everywhen” which likely has a flow of time that is different from earth, or at least non-linearly. So maybe we will see events happening in Laufey’s world, because of things that are yet to happen in Kratos’ world. Because who else could beat THE Goddess of War Sekhmet other than Kratos?😎

God of War Laufey playing 4D chess🚀 ✅Can’t cry “uglification” because Faye looks gorgeous ✅Can’t call it a “movie game” because it’s full of action and fun ✅Can’t accuse it of erasure of Kratos as Cory Barlog said there will always be Kratos games, and this is his wife, not a random character, and telling stories about other characters in big franchises are neither new nor uncommon So maybe enjoy the game, or don’t. But don’t pretend to have a “point” out of your own self-hate, that you project onto games😎

This is the Lara Croft everyone was asking for since 2008🚀 No one who loved Tomb Raider in the 90s and 00s ever asked for an origin story, family drama, self-insert or “character development” in these games. They were fun semi-standalone journeys with a cool protagonist. Narrative-wise, the series peaked with Angel of Darkness. I’m glad that at least some of the original magic is being recaptured here🥹

Two games that are replacing the original protagonist of the franchise with a side character, a concept that is not new to gaming or entertainment in general🚀 ✅CONTROL: Resonant ✅God of War: Laufey It’s surprising how different the reactions are to literally the same concept. It’s truly a mirror for how hypocritical, self-serving, lacking in principle, and grifting-driven the whole gaming and “culture war” discourse truly is. There never was a moral standing nor any principle or genuine concern. If you still can’t catch on, I don’t know what to tell you😅
