Athletes were told they couldn’t use implements because of color, coaches of athletes who were competing are measuring and marking, and there is no possible way to provide an accurate marking in this poorly lit setting. We pour money into the Sweet 16. Why not invest in T&F?

This was last nights Class 3A Region 6 boys discus finals held at GRC. @KHSAA at some point safety and quality have to matter. Kids have to matter. Regionalize these meets and hosts them at colleges where kids can have a high quality experience.

Entitlement is easy - earning it is hard. "Sometimes that playing time doesn't get earned until year 2, year 3, maybe even year 4." This winter Lorelei told me she wanted to try throwing Shot Put and Discus. @CoachJSASmith was my first call! A couple lessons, a full workout plan and a lot hard work later, she is a GMC middle school conference champion in discus and runner-up in shot! As a 7th grader! 😍
