@KanukoSamanushi It's more technocratic Egyptian really. Osiris has embraced sweeping technological advances and her palace is a mix of ancient Egyptian architecture and high end cyber technology. The Anubis are a pretty good example of that.

The Rise of Osiris comic is quite serious for the most part but it does have this comedic scene of levity. I grew up on anime that did this sort of thing even in the most serious work so it stuck with me.

First page of the Rise of Osiris comic. Some pages are in color but I prefer the black in white. I just really like Tito's shades and tones which don't show through as well in color. For those wondering we where about 50% done with it in black and white when we stopped working on it to focus on the OVA. We where originally trying to get it done before a convention we attended so it hasn't been worked on since then.

True that can happen sometimes tho I do think Junk Food anime rarely tries to hide what it is. I find the simple test is if you try to think of it a year from now will you remember it? Or will it blend with all the other shows you watched that year? Heck I've already forgotten alot of the shows I watched last year. 😅

He is correct. As an average I'd say yearly anime is now around 75-80% Junk food anime. Fun to watch but ultimately forgettable. Anime that sticks with you and is memorable still exists but it's in much shorter supply then it used to be. Incidentally Roa is the latter type of work.

@KanukoSamanushi Thanks! This doesn't take place in Ancient Egypt though. Rise of Osiris is shortly before the Roa OVA. So it's essentially taking place in the here and now. As for her attire it has something to do with the plot. So I'm not going to get into that right now.

Two Halloween costumes I gave to Osiris both of them are forms of Nitocris from Fate. Normal and Alter respectfully. I don't think I'd ever do a non Egyptian themed character as a costume for her. Just doesn't seem like it would be fitting. Certainly not one below her station either. #conceptart

Another Osiris sketch this never became a full artwork. Some people have asked about her name. I wanted to an Egyptian themed Cygen and the name "Osiris" popped into my head and it stuck. That happens with alot of my characters. Usually I find the name fits pretty well after the fact. The human mind is interesting don't you think?
