Home prices matter, because it's about housing and cost of living. The stock market is probably the best vehicle to build wealth for those who don't want to build their own business, but if housing costs were lower young people would have more income to put into it.

I’ve always said that if you’re a single man, why are you jaded about home prices? S&P has way better returns. Work a job, invest the rest in VTI and QQQ, and then buy a house when it’s baby time. Home ownership is low ROI on capital except in hot markets.

In personal finance, the optimal strategy is almost always renting. Problem is people will fight hard to keep up with their mortgage but quickly sacrifice their investment accounts when unexpected difficulties arise. So in real world performance it's the strategy you can adhere to that wins, not what is mathematically the most optimal.

There's always going to be a level of assortative mating, where slutty women will often find themselves in the company of men who prefer slutty women, regardless of how men typically feel. But of course the context matters. When you say some men have a "preference for" sexually experienced women... What's the context? Do we mean they have a preference for sexually experienced women when they go to a bar looking for a one night stand? Or when they look for a lifelong marriage. Afaik when people are asked about preferences in long term committed relations, both men and women judge sexual promiscuity more harshly than when you ask them about short term dating preferences. I would estimate the percent of men who actively prefer sexually experienced women as long term mates to be low single digits. High enough where it's not hard to find guys when you go look for them, but highly atypical.
