It shouldn't have to be that way though. Are parents not raising children who aspire to one day lead their state? Or are they so jaded that they pass along that resignation of "nothing we can do about it"? While it's understandable, it's also a little disappointing to see folks run from blue states rather than stay and fight. Easy for me to say of course, but I just wonder how this country will do when things really get tough.
