The NCAA D1 Cabinet just unanimously approved the age-based eligibility model (final after Wed meeting). It shifts from the old rule (4 seasons of competition within 5 years starting at full-time college enrollment) to a new "5 seasons in 5 years" model. The 5-year clock now starts at the earlier of: initial full-time college enrollment or the academic year after an athlete's 19th birthday. It runs consecutively with almost no extensions or waivers (exceptions only for pregnancy, religious missions, or military service). Current athletes with eligibility left can choose the old or new rules, whichever helps them more. Future prospects follow the new system strictly.

This very hard working crew performed as asked and went 6-0 in the 18u PowerPool this weekend at the #PennsburyInvitational. Pitchers controlled the circle & game; allowing just under 2 ER a game & striking out 1/3 of all batters faced. Catchers led the way commanding a stifling & fleet-footed defense. An aggressive offensive approach yielded 5 HR, team BA of .326, & 36 runs. These ladies took advantage of the opportunities this weekend and had well over 45 colleges watching games. We thank each of you for your time and very positive feedback. Highlights from this week at the #PennsburyInvitational. We killed it this weekend going 6-0 playing against tough competition in the 18u PowerPool. Thank you to all the college coaches that came to watch us. This was my first tournament back from spraining my ankle. We had a great weekend at the Pennsbury Invitational in Pennsylvania. We went 6-0 and I batted .500, going 6 for 12 at the plate with a 💣! I also had 5 RBIs in 4 games and loved contributing everywhere on the field.
