It's 2026 and your CEO just forwarded you a 47-page analysis from Claude. You get a cup of coffee and sit down to review it. It's a disaster. A dozen unrelated metrics mashed together. Unused columns with names like projected_revenue_maybe and churn_but_only_if_active. Six different definitions of Monthly Active User. Hardcoded filters that drop every US customer. He joined Salesforce to Snowflake on user_id = email and threw in a random CSV called final_final_v2.xlsx plus his wife’s Notion table for good measure. You catch the hallucinations, but that's ok. It's part of the dance. He didn't consider that someone might actually validate this. He responds in an hour (after Claude, Perplexity, and some new agent called MetricRabbit finish their reviews) saying we shouldn't worry about "data quality details" anymore, those are relics of the past. Hey let's jump into a room and figure it out. We can't just agree to disagree, this is probably my last job in tech and I can't watch this fucker burn the place to the ground. The deck gets presented anyway. You feel a shared sense of apathy and dread with Hannah the intern (she has to clean up his AI-generated dashboards ever since Grok started inventing trends). That night the numbers still don't add up. You can still see the mismatched joins on the backs of your eyelids. You go to work the next day no longer understanding the data. There is no foundation. Just layers of slop on top of more slop.

@iamgingertrash @crypt0lake This is incredibly obvious in Spain, we're about to be the next Greece and be rescued. We have this concept of SMI (translates to minimum interprofessional wage) which has doubled in the last 8 years while our productivity is stagnant for the last few decades, its terrible
