Communists are not liquidationists whose aim is the negation of everything that came before but the commensuration of the past with the future. This is Marx's dialectical view of history.

@comrade_gerge @VCHK_LVNA Correct. "Nation-states" will disappear as the formalist and bourgeois concept of the nation as something above and separate from the nation itself, but nations as a historical formation will not disappear as the "State" will.

@VCHK_LVNA Nations have not gone anywhere, nor will they disappear. People don't voluntarily participate in society, they're born and suspended in a particular social process that isn't reducible to the cosmopolitan idea of the nation that can be rejected at will.
