react-scan thinks our player is just a chill guy. Thanks to the power of signals and CSS there's no need for wasteful renders. You can also see in devtools that it's mostly just CSS vars updating and the DOM is stable.

Please upgrade when you can to avoid any issues. The fix ensures that auto-placement will only run for any given floating panel when it's visible.

Thanks to a recent report, we fixed an important bug in `1.12.6@next` that would slow apps down, especially when multiple player instances were active. The cause was an expensive auto-placement function running all the time for all floating panels (i.e., tooltips/menus).

We've pushed out performance improvements and bug fixes recently. The latest `1.12.1@next` includes SSR fixes for Next.js, and you now can pass the `<Image>` component to our `<Poster>` as shown in the docs. Planning out what will be included in 1.0 has started!

@outoilkka Sorry to hear it's been a difficult process, it's a pain shared among many. The good news is that right after player 1.0 we'll be working on making it easy to stream with Next.js. We'll also be creating video tutorials for design, auth, ads, and more!
